Some things never change...and then...

SOME things never change! For instance, I found this photo of Kailey from years ago. She has always been a girl who likes weapons! Don't ask me, I don't know where she got it, unless it was from playing with her good buddy Kody Euteneier when she was little. She loved being a boy with him!

The picture is from a Christmas night when she was about 6 years old. She got all kinds of great toys that year, but notice what she chose to sleep with...a dollar store bow, knife & arrows! Notice the arrows tucked down the back of her p.j.'s! It's a crack up!
On Friday, she and Craig took the varsity fastpitch girls paintballing and she couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had tracking her coaches and nailing them with paintballs. She's also a die hard fan of "24". She talks about how cool it would be to go into the CIA or be an undercover agent. I just keep praying it's all a fantasy!

Loryn, on the other hand, is ALL girl. She loves to pose for the camera, paint her fingernails, do her hair, and DANCE! She's been this way as long as I can remember! She takes a hip-hop dance class and really has some good moves. She paints her nails almost every other day and the other day I caught her putting on make-up and fixing her hair, just to go to dance class where she's going to sweat it off and make a mess of her hair! Too funny!

Here's a photo I found of her when she was about 4 after we painted her nails. She's LOVING it!
And then there are things that DO change! Today was a special sacrament meeting for all three Wenatchee wards and both East Wenatchee wards. They made 7 wards out of 5 wards. The wards will be much smaller. They created new boundaries and we got moved to a new ward with about 8 active families from our old ward. It will be new and exciting! Craig was made Executive Secretary in the bishopric and I am anticipating with dread what my new calling will be! Believe it or not, there are worse things than RS President! Change is good...this is my new mantra!

It can be a little scary if you start thinking about what their current "interests" will lead to. They are still cute. We sure like getting to see Kailey!
WOW - 7 wards - that is very unusual. I'm waiting with great anticipation to hear what the "call" is!! :)
