Hiking Saddlerock!

This summer, Tammi Shepherd and I decided we needed to switch up our exercise routine, which was  walking 3.5 miles 3-5 days a week as fast as we could.

We decided hiking sounded interesting.  So in July, we set off to hike up to Saddlerock.  It's a 4 mile round trip hike!  I thought I was going to die the first time, but I've found it to be very rewarding.  The view of the Wenatchee Valley is incredible!

The first week of August, I fell coming down...hard.  I twisted my right leg backwards underneath me.  I was able to hobble down, but it took me a full month to recover so that I could hike again.  I tore a tendon behind my knee.

Luckily, the weather has been beautiful this fall, so we've been able to continue hiking (it's the first week of November).  We've recently started hiking up the opposite side near the old mine for variety.  Jen Butherite has been hiking with us and recently Debbie Lewin has been joining us as well.  WE ARE STRONG and we've stuck with our goal of at least 3 times a week; occasionally we even do it 5 times a week!
