Time for thankfuls...

After working 50 hours this week and not getting a well deserved nap today, I think it's time for me to remember my blessings instead of being a grouch (which is what I'm being at this moment)! I've found I can usually turn my mood around if I start remembering how many things I'm thankful for....
• Since I've been at work so much, I'm most thankful for a new Principal this year! His name is Keith Collins and he's from Lynden, WA, where he's been a principal for the last 10 years or so. He's made going back to work more enjoyable than it's been for many years!
• Change...I just finished reading "Who Moved My Cheese" again and I'm grateful for changes and the growth we gain from them.
• The Ensign...lately it seems that each month there are meaningful articles that are written just for me. This month there's a funny one about toothpaste on the mirror. I needed it!
• A patient Mom! Yesterday, the girls and I spent the day with her and my aunt & uncle at Grandpa's house cleaning out his basement. Mom was so patient with Grandpa as he would come up and down the stairs to "check on our work". Of course he was worried about what we were getting rid of or selling and he hovered a bit. Mom took time to listen to him and help him understand what we were doing. He forgets a lot of things and mom spends many hours repeating herself and helping him. I'm so glad she's there to help grandpa and love him as he deals with old age. Thank you, Mom!
• Debbie Lewin...if you don't know her, she's amazing! She's my assistant secretary at work and I could not have made it through the last 10 years without her! She goes above and beyond in EVERYTHING she does. Not only is she my right arm, she gives so much of herself to others. She is truly the best example I know of someone who serves others without thinking of themselves.
• Good health!
• Girlfriends...You know who you are and I'm thankful for YOU and the strength you give me!

So fun to see y'all's blog! Never thougth it would be so fun to connect with people this way that you see regularly, but it is! I loev the "full" portrait of the girls--they are drop dead gorgoeous and are going to be major heartbreakers (if Craig has anything to do with it).

It sounds like you have started back to another school year. I hope that it is a great year. I am sure that the new principal is happy to have you as his secretary. I'm sure that he couldn't do his job well without you!
