This is the 4th year Kailey played fastpitch softball for WHS. She has really enjoyed playing and especially loved her coaches, Mr. Grothe, Mr. Michael and Mr. Pugsley. They have been awesome coaches and so positive and impactful with the girls.
This year she played left field and could throw a "bullet" (according to Grothe) from left field to home base to get a girl out! She would get upset if the opposing team's coach held up a girl at 3rd and she had a perfect throw to home plate. She wanted those girls OUT!!
She also had a good batting average this year at 563!

At the last game, the team honored the 5 senior girls. All the parents gave their girls flowers, but being the resourceful parents we are, we used fake sunflowers from the dollar store and bought gift cards to stick inside the flowers. We spent the same amount of money as the parents who bought real flowers, but she could actually use what we gave her! Aren't we smart?
